Hey, so... big announcement. I am very happy to say that as of Wednesday; I'm now officially part of the creative team at 160over90 in Philadelphia. Yup, a great & talented bunch they are, and I am very excited to get started and see what the next few months bring along.

It's been a bit of a bumpy road relocating from Canada, but it has already been worth the excruciating wait and sea of bureaucracy we had to wade through in order to make it happen. The city is great, and aside from a cruel and unusual rite of passage involving some mayonnaise and coffee grinds, the team has been welcoming and cool beyond my own high expectations.

You should go check out the 160over90 blog: The Boomerang Table. You may recall a hilarious exercise in crowdsourced branding they published a while back.  

Anyways, in other news; this month I'm working on a piece for the next issue of Display magazine involving the very talented Julien Vallée. I can't say much about it right now, but make sure you pick up a copy when it hits shelves in the fall, it'll be cool. Also, I'm living in a hotel right now. I'm not on vacation and I'm not getting divorced... it's weird.

Also, thanks for the wonderful Jill Stanton. She's producing the prints while I'm in Edmonton for the month. Horray!

Tuesday night! 

As Sled Island winds up this week, there are a ton of awesome things going on around the city. One of which is a photo show going on at The Gallery on 17th. I have a series included in said show. It's a collaboration I did with the awesome Lindsey Baker. Basically we shot a series of local musicians and their amplifiers. It's funny how a musician's amp can be sort of an extension of themselves. I think it shines through in the series.

Anyways, it's an ongoing project we're working on, with 16 prints on display on Tuesday and possibly an online portion coming soon after.

It's also the same night as the Sled Island Poster show at Sloth, they're on the same stretch of road... so come to both! I won't post the Built to Spill poster here until the show wraps up. Gotta come out to see it. Plus it's free, so why wouldn't you?

Just finished a really righteous project. It's part of a fairly large campaign, there are many elements, but the poster is the real showpiece. It's a limited run of 3000 numbered prints. Four color offset with a transparent white overprint. Premium!

This is a post about my dearest Friend Anna who is relocating to London-town today. I must say that London should be so lucky as to have somebody as wonderful and talented as Anna gracing their London-y landscape.

Both Anna and Beau (who, in all likelihood will get his own post when he leaves later this month) have been the greatest of pals to me, and a big part of my life here with Veer in Calgary and I will miss them dearly. No worries though, I'm going to be stalking them on via their blog, which went live today.

Earlier this month, to pay honour to their unyielding awesomeness, I designed a poster/card/cake that we used as an invite and then ATE at their going away party. I didn't make the cake, obviously. I have no cake skills. Still, very fun. Good luck in London guys, I love you both! See you soon!

Hi! I really need to dedicate a quick post two great people who have recently launched equally great sites featuring equally great work.

First off is my lifelong pal and partner in crime Matt Webb. Check his site, there's some amazing stuff up there.

Next is this. The portfolio of Katherine Patton who is not only wonderful, but is also married to the aformentioned Matt. Wondering how their wedding invitations looked? Really good. Scary good.

Anyways, back to work.

I'm late to the party on this one, but if you haven't seen it all ready, go take a look at Nissan's new Journey to Zero pseudo-campaign.

Truthfully, the site is an initiative of Richard Wurman (of TED) focussed on reducing auto emissions. The site itself is masterfully executed, it's a rich experience, but never feels overwhelming. The typography is unreal, it's really worth diving deep into to discover all the goodness inside.

Check out the piece with the custom typeface by Marcus Ericksson. Brilliant!

Attn: Interested parties. I have finally rescued some of my Yo La Tengo prints from the bureaucratic void in which they have been floating. Previously they were not for sale, and now they are! So to those who are interested in purchasing one, go ahead and shoot me an email and I'll do my best to ship 'er off to you good and fast.

Also note: I've been organizing the ol' flat storage and found I've got a few Obits posters left over from this year's Sled Island that are available too! Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Gift Eaters are pulling one final tour of the province before the pack it in. I threw together a poster for their Calgary show. Actually... three posters. This is how they're looking on the poles. Complete with six swollen tongues.
